Surgery news and update March 2023

Covid Update

  • The seasonal booster and primary booster campaigns have now ended in line with JCVI recommendations. No further bookings will be made for any COVID-19 boosters.
  • A new vaccination programme is planned for Spring 2023 and eligible people will be invited for vaccination. This will include people aged over 75, those living in older adult care homes and people who have a severely weakened immune system. Eligible people who have had their 1st & 2nd doses but not their primary or seasonal booster doses are therefore advised to await their invitation for the Spring Campaign 2023.

We are hoping to be able to hold Spring Booster clinics at the surgery. We will text or phone you to book into appointments once this has been confirmed.

Please do not phone the surgery to ask about Covid vaccinations.

Mental Health Practitioner

Debbie Dew has joined the PCN as a Mental Health Practitioner and will be working from Finchampstead Surgery 2-3 days a week. If you would like to speak to Debbie about any mental health issues or concerns, please phone the surgery and our receptionists can book you either a face to face or telephone appointment with her.

Travel Vaccines

We are not a registered travel clinic. Due to the demand in General Practice, we are prioritising our patients needing chronic disease management and have no appointments currently available for travel vaccinations. Please contact a MASTA clinic for help, advice and vaccinations

Diet Injections

We are aware that the media have advised an injection will be available for weight loss. As yet we have not received further information on this, and it has not been rolled out into General Practice yet.

Thank you.
